One of our goals is to build a global network of self-sustaining orphanage communities.
The time has come to move forward with the goal of building our first orphanage.
The foundation has been laid...spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
We now seek partners in all aspects of the project ...prayerfully and energetically, physically,
financially, networking, etc.
A brief piece of the vision:
First of all, let us make it clear that the manifestation of this orphanage in Costa
Rica and the global network that we will co-create, is just that...a co-creation. Through working together, and building
teams of partners, we will manifest together.
Currently we have an amazing piece
of property in which to build. The farm is located in the mountains in Costa Rica, has 2 mountain springs for water,
and a couple of basic housing structures. Valued around $120,000, we need only $22,000 to pay the farm off. (Farm pay-off
is due by February 15, 2010.
The vision for the children is to raise them
in a loving, family atmosphere. For our beginning projects, we see keeping the number of children limited to around
20. Once we get into Thailand and parts of Africa, these numbers will likely increase dramatically. For now...we
are blessed to have a very simple starting ground. Costa Rica is lush and plentiful, with a very friendly and peaceful
government.
We have a small staff ready to move forward with this vision and are
now ready for our financial partners to come through with the next piece of the puzzle.
- Children will be
cared for by staff and taught by approved interns from all around the world, giving them a very rich world view, with exposure to various cultures.
- Children will be fed an extremely healthy diet of living, nutrient rich, organic foods, as
outlined by our health experts. This diet will be free from refined sugars, refined flours, artificial chemicals, and
other toxic substances.
- Children will not receive any corporal punishment (Spankings or other
forms of physical punishment will not be used.)
- Children will receive consistancy of loving
discilpline by approved staff and interns who have completed the course entitled Empowering Children and Creating Peace
In The Home. This course is based upon the booklet of the same title, written by The Revolution Project founder,
Andrew Walter Allen.
- The
education of the children is through the small school currently established on our farm. With a basic homeschool outline,
we follow the methods and principles of the Waldorf educational system.
- A strong emphasis is
placed on the arts, nature, interpersonal communication, heart-felt sensitivity, and surrender to God, in addition to the
other basic educational aspects of reading, writing, mathematics, etc.
- Interns and students from all over the world are part of the creation and growth of this amazing orphanage project.
- We
view children as wonderful spiritual guides for us. The inate spiritual intuition and sensitivity of a child often times
seems much stronger than that of the most studied theologens. Therefore, rather than indoctrinate children to any specific
denomination or religion, we seek to listen to and gently guide the chidren in their own spiritual journey.
- We do seek to instill the values of unconditional love, peace, patience, gratitude, gentleness, unity, kindness,
sharing, acceptance of others, non-judgment, and other positive life skills.
- Though we
claim no specific religion, we are followers of Jesus, therefore, the ways and teachings of Jesus is part of the spiritual
education of the children.

Children,
love the poor wholeheartedly. Go to their level. Believe that it is your dharma, your God-given duty to love and serve the
poor. No matter how rich we are, as long as we are not prepared to be compassionate towards the poor, we are truly living
in utter poverty. Such people are the true destitutes in the eyes of God. It is no use lighting a lamp before God and making
offerings in the temple if you do not care to provide some light to the unlit hovels of the poor. We should love them and
we should serve them. Without this, no amount of meditation we may do will bestow on us the bliss of meditation. It is kindness
and service to others that imparts the sweetness of meditation. -
